Week 2, Day 1

New drains. They're fine.	Loads of old tat buried in the garden. Ebay, anyone?	This is the problem: the building inspector isn't happy with the material the ground is made of, these trenches are now over 6 feet deep and we've hit water and need to hire a pump to keep digging. If the inspector still isn't happy next visit, it might need piling, despite the fact that a detached house has stood on this ground for over 80 years. Start counting the extra cost...
